Class Notes
Each issue of the Chatham Recorder showcases the latest news from our alumnae in the Class Notes section. The format for Class Notes is to list them alternately by odd or even years. Even-year classes will have their news published in the upcoming Spring 2008 issue, which will mail in May.
The deadline for submitting your class note online is February 1, 2008. Please submit your news – personal, professional, and changes in address, phone or e-mail – to share with your classmates in the spring.
Please limit your note to 100 words, and compose your news using the third person. Do not include any website addresses within your note. The Alumnae Affairs staff reserves the right to edit your news for style, length and content.
Volunteer as a Class Secretary
Do you love to hear from your classmates? Do you wish that you would have kept in touch with more of your classmates after graduation? If you answered “yes”…you should volunteer as a Class Secretary!
Class Secretaries play a vital role in keeping their classmates connected to each other and the University. The Office of Alumni Affairs sends each Class Secretary a packet of cards and e-mail addresses to collect news from their classmates. Classmates return their news to their Secretary, who edits the news and sends the final version to the Office of Alumni Affairs for inclusion in the Chatham Recorder.
Since Class Notes are listed alternately by odd and even years in the fall and spring issues, this means that you only have to collect Class Notes once a year. There can be several Class Secretaries for each class, so feel free to recruit several friends from your class to join you in the fun!
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Class Secretary, please contact Penny Schnarrs , Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs, at 412-365-1517.
