FAQs
How do I register?
The easiest way to register is online. Alternatively, you can complete the form in the brochure
found on this website and mail it to the Office of Alumni Affairs, Beatty
House, Woodland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15232; or you can call us at 412-
365-1517.
Registration deadline is May 9 and refunds cannot be given after this date.
Are spouses and children invited to attend?
All events are open to spouses and guests. However, you may want to
consider the nature of each activity when deciding whether to bring a guest.
Spouses and significant others are especially encouraged to participate in the
Awards Ceremony, Cocktail Reception. Babysitting services are not available
at theUniversity. For non-Chatham guest activities, check out the weekend
activities in the Pittsburgh area at Pittsburgh.com.
Where do I park if I drive to campus?
Parking will be available at the various lots on campus including the East Lots
behind Laughlin, Rea, and Beatty House, the Fickes Lot behind Fickes Hall, the
Library Lot, which is only accessible by Murray Hill Avenue, and the parking
terrace, which is accessible via Chapel Hill Drive. Limited handicap parking
is available in the East, Fickes and Library Lots, and beside the Athletic and
Fitness Center. (Only handicap parking is available by the Athletic and Fitness
Center.)
What should I bring to wear?
Generally, participants dress for comfort during the day. For the evening
cocktail reception, most participants wear party attire. This does not mean
formal dress. Simply dress in a manner that makes you comfortable. Check
out www.weather.com and plug in 15232 as the zip code to get the local
weather forecast.
Can the University accommodate special dietary needs?
Vegetarian options will be available at each meal, and we will make every
effort to meet other requests. Please send a note with your registration so that
we can plan accordingly.
Where should I stay?
We have also reserved a block of rooms at a rate of $179 per night at the
Courtyard Marriott in the Waterfront, located at 401 West Waterfront Drive.
Reservations can be made by calling 412-462-7301. Be sure to mention
that you are with the Chatham University Alumni group. The website for the
