Annual Giving

2007-2008 Annual Fund Goal: $1,130,000

Each year, Chatham alumnae, graduate alumni, friends, faculty, staff and institutional associates make unrestricted gifts to benefit the Annual Fund. Unrestricted Annual Fund gifts help supplement current operations costs which provide support for student financial aid, curriculum and faculty development and campus maintenance. Gifts may be designated to one of the three schools for current operation use: Chatham College for Women, The College for Graduate Studies, or The College for Continuing and Professional Studies.

Why the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is the most effective and direct way to contribute to Chatham. Tuition and fees have never covered the entire cost of a Chatham education. Since tuition pays for less than half of the cost of an undergraduate education, the remainder of Chatham's operating budget comes from endowment income, corporate and foundation grants, and most importantly, the generous annual support of alumni, friends and parents. Because Chatham’s endowment has not yet reached the same level as peer women’s colleges, the unrestricted Annual Fund is even more critical. Your gift, made as early as possible in the academic year, goes to work immediately to help current students at Chatham.
