Admissions Volunteer Opportunities
Helping to recruit new students and encourage first-year students are important volunteer responsibilities at Chatham University.
A variety of opportunities are available, and each one means a tremendous amount to the University.
Volunteer opportunities in admissions include:
- College Fairs - Attending these events as a Chatham representative.
- Contact Admitted Students - Personally contacting accepted students, congratulating them and encouraging them to deposit.
- Guidance Counselor Visits - Introducing high schools to Chatham. If you already have an established relationship with local high schools or their guidance counselors, you can use the Office of Admissions high school guidance counselor packet to introduce Chatham. The packet includes information about the College and Pittsburgh area, a "script" that alumnae can use when speaking with the high school, and a follow-up form that can be mailed back to the University.
- Rachel Carson Book Award - Presenting this award to a high school junior in your neighborhood high school.
- World Ready Women Scholarship Interviews - Participating in on-campus interviews of scholarship candidates. For applicants unable to travel to campus, volunteers can conduct interviews in their hometowns.
