Class & Program Secretaries Volunteer Opportunities
Do you love to hear from your classmates? Do you wish that you would have kept in touch with more of your classmates after graduation? If you answered “yes”…you should volunteer as a Class or Program Secretary! (Class Secretaries are utilized for undergraduate alumnae; program secretaries are utilized for graduate alumni.)
Class and Program Secretaries play a vital role in keeping their classmates connected to each other and the University. The Office of Alumni Affairs sends each Class and Program Secretary a packet of cards and e-mail addresses to collect news from their classmates. Classmates return their news to their Secretary, who edits the news and sends the final version to the Office of Alumni Affairs for inclusion in the Chatham Recorder.
Since Class Notes are listed alternately by odd and even years in the fall and spring issues, this means that you only have to collect Class Notes once a year. (Graduate Program notes, though arranged by program, are listed by odd and even years as for undergraduate Class Notes.) There can be several Class or Program Secretaries for each class, so feel free to recruit several friends from your class or program to join you in the fun!
